Launch of the ESITL project

The ESITL project officially kicked off in Vic, Spain!

After a first online meeting organised in the beginning of February, the ESITL project partners officially started the work in the framework of a hybrid meeting organised in Vic, Spain, on 8 and 9 April 2021.

The ESITL project, co-financed by the Erasmus + programme, aims to enhance the European mobility of learners at level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) in Transport and Logistics and International Trade. To create a common basis of understanding between all partners for the targeted qualifications, the first step of the project is the development of consolidated job profiles and skills repertories between the four partner countries (France, Germany, Portugal, Spain). In a second step, the partners will develop operational solutions to organise mobility actions and to facilitate the assessment and recognition of learning outcomes of mobile students.

The first day of the kick-off meeting allowed the coordinator to present the overall project to all the partners, present in Vic and connected at a distance. The different stages and deadlines of the main deliverables, the responsibilities and roles of each partner, the communication and dissemination activities and the quality monitoring of the project were discussed.

On the second day, two working groups were set up for each of the two sectors in order to start the reflections on the job profile of the transport operator and the import-export commercial assistant respectively. The final output will take into account environmental issues and the technological and organisational evolution of the sector in order to create documents valid for the next ten years.

The work and exchanges will continue remotely, with the next physical meeting scheduled for mid-September in Paris.
